United Protective Services is an owner-operated privately held security firm providing services throughout Texas and Oklahoma, with hundreds of employees in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Frisco, Ft. Worth, and Oklahoma City. Beginning in 1999 with just three employees, we have grown consistently as a specialized agency geared toward providing exceptional service through our selection and training of the best officers and customizing our offerings to the specific needs of each client. Over twenty years later, we are still striving to provide the best in security, with all employees – including senior management – involved in the delivery of service to maintain a level of communication you won’t see with other firms. Our Leadership

Eddy Allen

Founder, CEO and Owner

Eddy understands the security business so well because he started out his career as a security officer himself. It was his work with challenging Dallas locations such as the Oxy Chem Tower, Boeing Electronics, and the Adolphus Hotel that led him to working in both the proprietary and contract security industry before founding United Protective Services in 1999.

His leadership steered United Protective through the early development of being a new face in the security industry in DFW. Eddy's experience in high rise, high tech, and hotel security, with contract and proprietary security helped create a niche in the marketplace for United Protective. Additionally, his experience and business acumen helped avoid many of the challenges that besiege a service-related firm in its formative stage. Today, that organization operates services throughout Texas and Oklahoma with seven branch office locations and over 2,000 employees. "Our goal is to continuously improve our service delivery while effectively delivering the client's expectation for their security program," stated Eddy.

Eddy studied Business Administration and Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University. He is presently a member of Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), International Real Estate Managers (IREM) and American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS).

Andy Allen

President and Owner

Mr. Allen received his Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University in Criminal Justice Administration. Andy’s experience includes over thirty years of both proprietary and contract security management. During the course of his career, Andy has served in many capacities including operations, management, administration, and sales.

Andy serves as President and Owner of United Protective overseeing the day to day sales and operations of all seven offices in Texas and Oklahoma. During the last twenty plus years, he has led United Protective to become one of the fastest growing contract security firms in the United States.

Mr. Allen is a participant in Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), International Real Estate Managers (IREM), American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), International Facility Managers Association (IFMA), and International Council for Shopping Centers (ICSC), and Houston Apartment Association (HAA) and the Community Association Institute (CAI).

Andy served on the Houston BOMA Board of Directors as Allied Professional Representative from 2011-2013. In 2012, he was recepient of the Allied Professional Member of the Year by Houston BOMA. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for Crime Stoppers of Houston.
